Cindy is a graduate of Taylorville High School, and both University of Illinois (BA) and Northwestern University (MA). She has been involved in many charities and advisory councils including the Cerebral Palsy Foundation, Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), National Charity League, University of Illinois Alumni Association, Illinois Farm Bureau, and Main Street America.
As a Christian County farmland owner and investor, Cindy collaborates with city, county, state, and federal government leadership.
She splits her time between Taylorville and Atlanta, and has two daughters, one attending the University of Michigan and the other a recent graduate of University of Georgia.
Gary has more than five decades of industry experience. He was named a President’s Club member while at Dean Witter Reynolds (now Morgan Stanley) and earned membership on the Director’s Advisory Council at E.F. Hutton (now part of Morgan Stanley).
He was named Youth in Need’s Man of the Year in 1988, Dean Witter Reynolds’ Broker of the Year in 1991, and Boys & Girls Club Man of the Year in 1996 and received the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce Lifetime Distinguished Service Award in 2002. His alma mater, Iowa Wesleyan University, awarded him an honorary Doctorate of Law in 1993.
Gary believes in giving back to the community and serves on several not-for-profit boards including: Missouri Kids, Foundry Art Centre, Lindenwood University, Endowment for United Services, and Iowa Wesleyan University. Shaw and his wife, Joyce, have 6 children and 14 grandchildren.
Kathy (Del Valle) Fergin is a proud resident of Taylorville, Illinois, where she was born and raised. Kathy is a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist, employed by Taylorville Memorial Hospital. Kathy has been a leader in the Taylorville community for over thirty years, serving on the YMCA board, Taylorville School Board, Downtown Taylorville Board and numerous nonprofit community clubs and organizations.
Kathy is passionate about music and the arts, played in Taylorville’s Municipal Band for many years, and co-founded Stage Fright Theatricals.
Kathy serve as the Taylorville High School's Musical Director, a mentor for the Christian County CEO program, and as a Member of the Christian County Health Board. She was the first female to be awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award by the Taylorville Public Schools Foundation.
Kathy is the proud mother of 4 boys, 2 grandsons and a wonderful husband Tom.
